Rotary Club of La Jolla manages or participates in several major funding projects
FLORENCE RIFORD LA JOLLA COMMUNITY FUND
In 1989, Rotary Club of La Jolla established Florence Riford Community Fund in honor of Florence S. Riford, the first woman member of the Club. The purpose of this fund is to further worthwhile activities, other than scholarships, in the La Jolla Community. The assets of the fund are administered by San Diego Community Foundation. Grants are made from the earnings of the fund under the direction of a committee comprised of five members of Rotary Club of La Jolla and two other members from the community.

La Jolla Rotary Foundation is a charitable organization created by Rotary Club of La Jolla. Contributions to La Jolla Rotary Foundation support the Club's Community Service, Vocational Service, Youth Service and International Service activities. Annual donations to the Foundation come from Club members. In addition, La Jolla Rotary Foundation administers an endowment that provides income to fund Riford Scholarships and La Jolla Rotary Scholarships. La Jolla Foundation Board consists of the current officers of Rotary Club of La Jolla, the Club President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, and immediate Past President. There are four additional trustess who are selected by the board of the Club.
ROTARY FOUNDATION OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL
Based in Evanston, Illionois, this was established in 1917 as an endowment fund and named Rotary Foundation in 1928. It is devoted exclusively to furthering understanding and friendly relations between people of different nations through humanitarian, educational, and cultural programs. The fund is supported by annual giving from Rotarians around the world. Paul Harris Fellowships are awarded to individual Rotarians contributing $1,000 or more. Of the many important programs supported by the Rotary Foundation, the following are noteworthy:

- Rotary Centers for International Studies
- Rotary Grants for University Teachers
